King of the Court moves winners up toward the first court, the king’s court. Losers move down one court.
The Rally Leagues screens are in French for now. Each label is quoted as it reads on screen, with its meaning in English.
- In « Rondes » (Rounds), under « Mode de rotation » (Rotation mode), pick « King of the Court » in « Mode ».
- Pick what « Les gagnants » (Winners) do: « Se séparent » (Split up) or « Restent ensemble » (Stay together).
- Click « Changer le mode » (Change the mode). The mode applies to every session of the program, from the next round.
- Start the first round with « Ronde suivante » (Next round), then « Lancer la ronde » (Start the round).
How Rally builds the next round
- The king’s court is the first court of the category.
- Winners move up one court, losers move down one court.
- Winners on the king’s court stay there. Losers on the last court stay there too.
- Split up: the two winners of a side change partners as they move up. This is the Up & Down the River format.
- Stay together: each side moves up or down with its partner.
- A newcomer starts on the last court. Someone back from a rest returns to their last court.
Scores first
Rally needs the scores of the previous round. While some are missing, it names the courts to score.
Good to know
- Rest stays fair, as in Popcorn.
- King of the Court is played in synchronized rounds only: every court starts together.
- A round already started keeps its games when you change the mode.
