What a pickleball tournament looks like
- Typical format
- Skill-based round robin pools (3.0, 3.5, 4.0+) in the morning, then a single elimination bracket between the top two of each pool.
- Field size
- 16 to 32 pairs split into pools of 4 to 6 across 4 to 8 courts; every pair leaves with at least 4 matches played.
- Scoring
- Pool matches to 11 points, win by 2, to keep the schedule tight; finals are best of 3 games to 11.
